Brotherhood of Steel (Theory, Fallout 4) Spoilers (only read if you are far into the game or have finished it)

So in the game we learn that Owyn and Sarah Lyons are dead. Owyn persumeably from old age and Sarah in battle. We also learn that Maxson has taken over and managed to Ally with the Outcasts that plagued the East Coast Chapter in Fallout 3. Could their deaths be part of a coup? We don't see any other officers with Maxson, that was in the Citadel in FO3 (as far as i know). Maybe the price of getting the Alliance with the Outcasts was to remove Owyn and Sarah from the equation.

Its a short theory, but it is a start. Will add more things later. Not sure if you discussed this on the live stream or not.
