1 Revan in the New Star Wars Canon!? on Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:42 am

As you can see that Rakata Prime is in the New Canon map, in the center left in the Unknown Regions. With Rakata Prime you have the Rakata, with the Rakata you have star maps, with Star Maps you have the Star Forge, with the Star Forge you have Darth Revan. And the best part is that this is new canon so swtor never happened.

You can thank me later.

Technically TOR and KOTOR are already sorta of a part of canon, but very loosely. The Lucasfilm Story Group which deals with the new canon and organizes it was confirmed to be working with Bioware for the recent TOR expansion, Knights of the Fallen Empire. The problem really is that like I said earlier, it's technically a loose part of canon, as it's really only attached to canon by a figurative 'thread', and at any moment can be 'cut' off. If Lucasfilm decides that they want to finally take it out of the canon, they will.

It's a situation in which events of TOR are canon unless anything in the new canon decides to contradict it, in which case the new contradiction will be considered part of canon. They've technically already done it since now apparently the Jedi Temple on Coruscant is built over a Sith ruin and the fact that the Old Republic may, though not confirmed, be 6,000 years old instead of 25,000. Though to be fair, they have already acknowledged TOR/KOTOR events in the Star Wars new canon, as for example in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, they say the design for Kylo Ren's crossguard lightsaber is based on an ancient design dating back to a 'great and devastating ancient battle on the planet Malachor'.

Don't get your hopes up. Dash rendar's ship from SOTE is canon. But not Dash himself. Don't count on Revan meaning anything even if he "technically" ends up canon.

Not trying to be a buzzkill. Just realistic. At most we might see a new character based around the Revan concept.
