Thoughts on a Fire Emblem starters guide?

1 Thoughts on a Fire Emblem starters guide? on Sun Dec 06, 2015 7:03 am

I've been pondering how to get people into the Fire Emblem franchise, and since I love this community so much, I have been thinking of writing up a Fire Emblem Franchise starters guide on this forum. It would mostly be a introduction to the entire series and its mechanics and analysis of each game's beginner friendliness. Not sure if anyone here would be interested in that here, so I am just throwing out the idea to see if you guys would read it or not.

Hmmm. Thinking about it all night. I think this would be an interesting video to make if I ever actually start making youtube videos.

I'd probably read it, at least the beginning of it, since I've never gotten to dip my toe into Fire Emblem.

I would appreciate that. I've never played a Fire Emblem game, but I've always wanted to. I think I'm going to get Awakening very soon, and I'm also interested in the two GBA games. The prices of the Wii and GC ones are terrifying, though.

Sure, I'd read it. So far I've only played Awakening and the DS remakes, but the feeling I got from the community is that both of those were bad entry points: FE:A because it's too different in tone from the other entries/ it's too easy/too grindy, and the remakes for having bad graphics and lack of features. Still loved them though. Super hoyped for Fates Razz

I've been loving Fire Emblem Awakening so far. Never played the others, so I can't really comment on where to start, but Awakening is more than what I expected. Still haven't finished it (some missions are really difficult), but I fully plan to do so before the new one comes out next year.
