1 Alan Rickman RIP on Thu Jan 14, 2016 8:54 am

I am sad to say that British actor Alan Rickman has died at the age of 69 of cancer.

In his memory turn to page 394.

May he rest peacefully.

Man, I didn't know he was sick. Lemmy, Bowie, and now Rickman... these kind of things always seem to come in groups.

So many great people have died within less than a month. Man this is sad.

Yeah, unfortunately we life in a time where all the great people of our childhood are dying.
Robin Williams, Leonard Nimoy, Terry Pratchett (and a lot more) and Alan Rickman.

A lot more will follow this year that already started totally shitty in his first two weeks and I´m still waiting anxiousely for the passing away of my favorite actor Sean Connery.

Between all that my mom passed away also on oktober 1st last year from cancer (a reason why I was not that active at the end of last year), the same Illnes that killed David Bowie and god knows how this will go for John Bain aka Totalbiscuit.

But because 2015 was already the worst year of my personal life I´ve ever had (not for Games, because for Games that was an awesome year and that´s what kept me going and deal with all that shit) 2016 still can only get better.

Yes, he's been fighting it for a while now. He found out he had colon cancer, beat that, and then found out he has inoperable liver cancer last October. The average life expectancy with that diagnosis is 2-3 years with outliers living much longer. The good news is that he seems to be winning the fight for now. From his twitter:

"This indicates the tumors have shrunk significantly and production of cancerous cells has vastly declined. This is important because it reduces the chances of it infecting other organs through the blood. Anyway, it's a good sign, that doesn't mean it's gone. It's a never ending war of attrition, right now we are winning a battle in it." -TotalBiscuit January 13, 2016.
