OOC: LOL! I find this funny because you helped draft the Democratic constitution. No hard feelings for turning your back on us. Sad Wink Kappa

OOC: Damn it Whiskey, the Socialist Constitution literally says that the leaders are immune from the law. It will descend into chaos and anarchy extremely fast.

While I still wholeheartedly support the proposed constitution of August 29th, and expect either it or the socialist constitution to handily defeat the monarchists reactionary death rattle, the opportunity to defeat capital with the pen rather than the sword is too tempting and would be remiss of me to turn away from the opportunity. I mean no ill will.

I never stated you meant ill will, I just found it ironic. Everyone knew you were a Socialist to begin with so I expected as much. While I understand your reason to vote for the Socialist constitution, you state that, " the opportunity to defeat capital with the pen rather than the sword is too tempting." Does that mean you are willing to revolt against the government the people decide if you lose the vote? I find this information quite distressing.

Not this vote, but I don't think it will surprise anyone that I'm committed to revolutionary emancipatory tactics. As we each and everyone of us has been.

But the big thing about CDC sonstitution is the fact you can have VERY comprehensive socialism, even communism, in the Region, if you have sufficient support of the people and democracy is preserved.

So really, you can have socialism, and democratic one at that, under the Constitution of August 29th, while the socialist Constitution is pretty much stalinist, especially apparent in the fact that some people would constitutionally be placed above the law.

That is true. In fact, I think that has swayed me. I call on all brothers and sisters of he revolution to vote instead for the constitution of August 29th!

I find Mr Cry's description of his CDC Constitution reminds me much of the saying "A man cannot eat his cake and have it still".

Mr WhiskeyWhiskers, surely you jest? Especially since your vote is already cast!

View user profile
My vote may be cast, but I hope others do not make the same mistake as I.

It is a sad day when a brother of the revolution falls for the lies of the bourgeoisie... a minute silence, for the death of a comrade's honor.

OOC: You know as well as I do TomRP that ratifying the Socialist Constitution will change our game to Romance of the Three Kingdoms instead of Politico =P

OOC: Wait, I thought everyone wanted to play in Romance of the Three Kingdoms? Razz

Either one would be compromising my principles. By choosing the constitution of August 29th, I at least guarantee the workers have a directly democratic voice in their regions. I saw in Spain the lengths Stalinist will go to ensure the workers have no voice.

A sad day indeed TomRP.

Also not entirely true. It's based more off of Leninist ideals. Stalinist is more authoritarian and honestly has more similarities with Facism rather than any form of Communism.

As well the entire basis of the constitution is having a council at a state level made up of the people. Individuals that the people would choose. Not just a single governor or mayor. No more like a city council or a State senate in the US. Except it wouldn't be exclusive to just the special few politicians who were lucky enough to make it there in life. Then those within this Syndicate would vote upon a the prime member in the federal senate or as well call it the All-People's Council. Very much like electing senators. Then the Deputy speakers would in turn be voted upon and determined in number by population.

Quite sad.

We are currently missing votes from Jaina Proudmoore, Crawler4, MrNowhere, and Professor Terrible. Of these Professor Terrible has already informed us he's out of commission for a bit on RL business, which leaves the former 3 unaccounted for.

I hereby posit to the esteemed delegates that we go ahead and close the vote. Is there any opposition to this motion?

If the margin is more than three votes or less, then I have no objections.

And still gives less power to the workers than the concessions I was able to wring out of the liberals.

No opposition to the motion. We must begin before we can react.

Fine with me.

I believe it best to reveal it tommorow morning for you Lore since all the European people are asleep(probably) and it's almost late evening in the east coast. Tommorow morning at noon(EST)would be ideal since the majority of our players will be available or at least awake.

Someone will always be asleep. If those votes can't change the result, I say; publish the it.

I mean the time I stated would be best because there woupdate be more players available to start the construction of our government. If only 10 players are available, then little can be done, but if the majority of players are available, we will be able to finish many important materials in the first few hours of the announcement.

If it's not too late, I would like to vote for the republican constitution as I feel socialism would best be served by it.

OOC: Apologies for the delay I have mock A-Level exams this week so haven't had much time to follow the game.
