Holdings:
Starforger Hall Starforger hall, designed by an inspired architect a number of generations ago, pays homage to house Aurelion's patron deity, The Starforger, The Cosmic Serpent, Aurelion Sol. The hall's focal point is a large open oval room, the roof of which is primarily an exceptionally clear crystal glass, with various gems/semiprecious stones inlaid into various sections. The inlaid stones represent stars, and in some cases the stones are linked with a faint line of gold, or silver, or lapis. The full design stretches the length of the hall, and in sunlight in only barely visible. However, on the night of the winter solstice, when the stars align correctly, and the moonlight pours in, the full beauty of the design is apparent, a massive dragon like serpent of gold and blue, made up of white and yellow stars becomes fully visible.

The story of the hall traces its roots back to the beginning of house Aurelion, when apparently The Starforger first came to the planet. It was in the days leading up to the winter solstice, when the merchants were going over books, and people were preparing for coldest times of winter. It is said that a merchant, one of little renown, was returning back from a late season trade run, when the sky seemed to shift, and a constellation of stars came to life and spoke to him. It asked the merchant if he knew of the deity, when the merchant responded that he did not, the entity laughed and asked the merchant if he had favorite star in the sky. The merchant, at this point quite scared, admitted he did, and pointed out a small yellow star. The entity then asked the merchant if he would like said star, the merchant, at this point puzzled, asked how could one obtain such priceless, thing, after all, the stars were invaluable, for trade, for navigation, they were priceless.

The entity considered this, and laughed again "it is better to not rely on the stars for navigation, after all they ARE a work in progress", the merchant, curious, asked who could possibly have the power to alter the stars, who could have ability to alter such beauty. A booming laugh echoed across the valley the merchant was in, and the constellation dropped from the sky and took the form of a massive serpentine dragon, and spoke with the merchant directly. "I have the power to alter the stars, for i am their creator, their smith, their forger, I am Aurelion Sol, builder of the cosmos." The merchant was stunned at the display of power before him, literal stars forming the serpent's body. Aurelion Sol asking once more "now, what would you do for a star of your own, last chance, after all i am a VERY busy dragon..." The merchant, knowing no one would trust his tale, responded "I will give you everything i have, if only for something that i might remember you by, something physical." The Dragon laughed, "So be it, you shall have your something, but it may not be what you expect..." and with that, the Dragon disappeared, the stars soaring back into the heavens.

It was days later the merchant made it back home, he stored his goods at his home, and he spoke to his friends of his experience. None took him seriously, and they laughed and told him it was the cold playing tricks on him, but on the Solstice, when the merchant left for the night to attend the yearly celebrations, a single star fell from the sky. Whizzing down from the heavens, it destroyed the merchant's home, taking every physical thing he owned with it, however in the crater lay a softly glowing sphere, inscribed with constellations, the heavens written in stone, and when opened, in the sphere's center, a glowing core of gold and gems, with a single large gem in the very center, with a serpent of lapis embedded in its middle.

The merchant had given "everything" for his wish, exactly as he said he would, however as Aurelion Sol had also said, what he got was not what he expected. The merchant used his wealth to found a new house, and in honor of his fickle and vain patron, named the house, House Aurelion. The merchant took the surname Kor-Azor after marrying due to his new found wealth, and commissioned a new hall to be built, to be finished on the next winter solstice. The next winter solstice, the hall was completed, the stones from the fallen star used in its construction, and on the midnight of the solstice, when the moon was at its zenith, a voice rang out across the town.

"Witness, the power i have to take and bestow, for the stars are my canvas and the cosmos my domain, see how House Aurelion has honored their fortunes, in gold, and in gems, and honored that which gave them their wealth, seek to do the same each year, on this longest of nights, and i may yet see fit that this world will live." And with those words, the constellation in the roof of the freshly complete hall lit up like starfire, glowing for an hour straight, finally fading after a long booming laugh.

It's said that every year, that same constellation shines just as brightly, for that same hour, during the solstice, a reminder that their god is watching. In his honor, the populace leaves 12 units of wealth in the hall during the solstice, and closes the door when the constellation begins to fade, and when the doors are opened, anything of gold, silver, or gems, is gone, presumably taken by Aurelion Sol as his yearly tithe.

Leeman Kor-Azor
Age: 45
Title: Bern
A man of average stature, Leeman Kor-Azor is the current ruler of House Aurelion, and now acts as the steward to the greater Khanid region, having arranged for several surrounding houses to sign on as banner houses during a time of local unrest and conflict. 

Leeman dislikes moving quickly on most matters, preferring to have as much information at his disposal as possible before making a decision, however this attitude has shifted over the last several years, between the coming of age of his son, and the changes on the international stage, Leeman has been forced to accept some amount of blindness when dealing with outside entities. Considered by his peers to be of level head, it takes a great deal indeed to anger Leeman beyond him simply walking away from a situation, however, it's said that one of the few topics he will stand to get mad over is House Aurelion's traditions, defending them tooth and nail should need arise.


Caitlyn Kor-Azor
Age: 40
Title: Stewardess of the Port Sarum

Tall, thin, and with a quiet dignity, Caitlyn keeps the affairs of House Aurelion's personal holdings in good order, from Starforger Hall, to the newly built town that has intertwined itself with the local port, if it answers directly to Leeman's authority, it answers to her as well. A wealthy merchant's daughter when she was young, Caitlyn has a knack for numbers and ledgers, a skill that has served her well in her position, and has had no small part in the small fortune that STG traders bring in each year. 


Kelon Kor-Azor
Age: 21
Title: Aurelion's heir/ "Darklight" to his personal ship's crew.

While still young in the eyes of the populace, Kelon is no less loved than his father and mother, of darker complexion, due his love of sailing, he takes his interests from his mother's side of the family, having the wanderlust of a merchant, and the love and respect of the sea of one as well. However, his court skills leave his father worried about what will happen when Kelon takes the throne, notably Kelon is known to be blunt at times, and terse at others, skipping over some of the subtleties that his father wishes he would cultivate. This has slowly started to change since his marriage to his wife however, though he still has a ways to go to equal his old man.


Nathaniel Grimm
Age: 35
Title: Court Mage

Of Pallid complexion, and taller than average stature, Nathaniel has been both Leeman's court mage, and his personal advisor for close to 20 years, having served faithfully since the day Leeman took the throne. Nathaniel was given his position after showing some skill with fire magics, in addition to a keen mind, and skill in subtlety. It's speculated among various merchants and house servants that Nathaniel does much more than he lets on in terms of his duties, always seeming to know about outside events long before the normal channels, however, he has said publicly that this is just to him keeping contact with various mages around the area, and keeping on good terms with them.

Heir the Saurm name, and position it entails, Lysus is a shorter man, stocky, and quick witted. Having been friends with Leeman since they were boys the two share much with one another, and rarely bother with formalities. His family have been running Port Sarum since it was built, maintaining and expanding it generation to generation, and in his hands, the Sarum Trader Group was founded, and STG Accords written, along with the help of his wife Jamyl. For the longest time he ran merchant runs himself, along with his wife, to new ports and peoples, in a way acting as the House Aurelion's first diplomats when meeting new people, however, with the creation of the STG Accords, his interests turn to making the Accords a success, both for the STG, and for the various Signers.

Jamyl Sarum:
Age:40
Title: STG Chief Diplomat/STG representative to House Aurelion

Of fair beauty, strong features, and long temper, Jamyl Sarum is Lysus's business partner, record keeper, and his wife. Daughter to a smaller merchant clan based out of the Khanid region, she caught the eye of the Lysus with her ability to close a deal, and to manage to get a sale where there shouldn't have been. And while she may have a tongue of silver, her patience is that of granite, able to wait out an opponent at the bargaining table and still maintain her composure, just don't insult her, or her husband, for if you do, you've made an enemy for life.
