1 TURN 1 COMPLETE on Tue Jan 17, 2017 7:26 pm

Turn 1

In the wake of Minister of Defense Bradley's proclamations, a few whispers and rumors have begun to circle the Echain populace. Overall people are significantly in favor of the idea of a war of expansion, but some insist the general shows no grief over the loss of his son, simply seizing his assets and followers. Some others insist that Bradley is not a true patriot, only returning after the Americans rolled through and his son died saving the nation. Some of these rumors are far more ugly, implicating him in the death of his own son.

While rumors and hearsay have persisted, word has now officially reached Echain about the fate of Japan. The unparalleled devastation of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is something to give the people pause, and the overall reaction is mixed, especially in response to the near total annihilation of Japan's infrastructure and economy in the wake of the war.

In related news, Japanese refugees have started arriving on Echain's shores in large numbers. Several boats, sometimes simple wooden junks but otherwise more capable cargo craft, carrying whatever they had with them. Echain, as it turns out, is not the only Nation having Japanese refugees settle here, as many island nations throughout the Pacific have been having the same problem. Dealing with the Japanese immigrant problem is something that will have to take priority, soon.

It is now February 1st, 1946.
