Honorable Senators of Echain,

Senators defeat this Immigration Bill, we are not ready.

We have barely started our autonomous country, now is not the time to help others. Now is the time time to ensure our own security and prosperity before we offer a helping hand.

It is not selfishness, but practicality we must engage in. We must secure our borders and defend what we have won before we allow outside influences affect what we have only started to build.

Senators defeat this bill, ensure the future of those who are already our citizens.

Walking past on the way to the Governor's chambers, a short man slips his hand behind the poster as he walks, tearing it in half while leaving the remains of the tattered poster attached to the wall.

Typical Communist stopping debates by censorship.

Oh, that must mean you're a communist then, Director.
After all, your goal was to stop a very important discussion, and now you respond to criticism with attacks and hominem.
Regardless, if I may ask, what is the ODI's interest in the matter? I trust you aren't using your position to further your personal politics.

Incorrect on one count Karin.

1. I want a two sided debate on immigration. Unlike wisky wiskers

2. I am leader of the Echain Autonomous Movement, which is recognized. So I have a duty and responsibility to further mine and my party members views.

Well as I see it, my fellow Director, Mr. Governor did participate in a debate by expressing his disagreement with your position. Never mind the fact that your... poster lacks any explanation of intent for a debate on the issue.
Also, I believe you are merely joking while essentially saying you'd abuse your position as the Director of Domestic Intelligence to further your party's goals.

OOC: I left the poster parts there, any one can still read it if they wish.

Yes in a infantile, manner unworthy behavior in the Senate

The plain truth of a matter of fact does not need a lengthy explanation.

Also, I believe you are merely joking while essentially saying you'd abuse your position as the Director of Domestic Intelligence to further your party's goals.

Maybe unlike you, I can separate party interests with the interests of our country.

A man hobbles pass the torn up poster under the gallery, stops and sighs unaware of the discussion above him.
"Littering?! I built this Palace and they have already started besmearing it?"
He takes the half on the ground, reads through it, shakes his head and wanders off, while mumbling.
"I have to post dame Guards here, no littering in this palace. I think I will have to establish a fine in the future."

Mr. Director, if you actually recall what has been said, you'd understand that a third party could read you words to mean exactly that you conflate your personal interests with the interests of the State.
As for me, the Bank always explains it's interest in an issue, and I make a point of signing my statements either as the Director, or a private individual.

As for Me. Governors form of response, it might just be a sign of his opinion. After all, that poster is quite comical if you understand that, without a bill on immigration, anyone who merely swears to uphold and defend the Constitution in front of a public official becomes a Citizen, and that bill is as necessary as a dozen others which are in the making.
