It has been a time of change for Echain.

Japanese refugees have flooded to the area. Current census can't even calculate how many, but it's at least 100,000 new Japanese. Or it was, until several of them were killed by local Echaini for rather understandable disgruntlement and hatred towards them. More than a few have been pushed away from the shores when found by locals.

In the midst of this, the first battle of the new Echain Republic was fought within eyesight of City Central between unknown rebel forces and a combination force lead by loyalists. The battle was a slaughter, and the dead still cover the plains and road to this day.

It is March 1st, 1946.
