I am sorry if I seem antagonistic, but in that special instance I realy took it RL ( And I know it was stupid of me and really, it was a game and it should not have pissed me off).
To give you some context Grifen in RL I am a person who really always thinks of the best in people and, to be frank, I never exspected that someone does something of bad intentions. So when I gave you all my knowledge and tools ( which took me 4 turn to get) and not one turn later I can start anew because I had to build new factories ( which finished last turn) it got me prity hard.

Thanks for your sorry, and I try to be better, so I do not take it so hard in RL next time.

Tbh, I am not at all sure if it is your character or you are doing it unconsciously but you are kind of a terrible leader. You literally tried to steal back Fishleep and get compensation for it when all you needed to do was ask. No bullshit, I don't care about it, you can have if you asked. But since you were extremely underhanded about it, I am forced to resist so that a precedent is not established.

I was underhanded just like you guys were underhanded with Felix. I thought that you wouldn't give it up, so I attempted to do something that wasn't the "nicest".

Lorinbas, as I said, I genuinely thought the compact was only going to be like 3 or 4 regions so it wouldn't have effected you, but the compact expanded, which I didn't think about, and in turn, it hurt you. Sad

"You literally tried to steal back Fishleep and get compensation for it when all you needed to do was ask."

Umm... you did the exact same thing with the monarchy plot, and that one affected the entire nation. I mean, it's a valid point, but it rings hollow from you Wink

As for Lorinbas-Grifen issue, I think it's about Lurem establishing its own factories, which happened before Compact, and it was, as I see it, a result of miscommunication; Lorinbas presumed certain conditions in the deal which weren't stated, and thus Grifen didn't even know about them. Then, the Compact happened, which is the second part of the issue, but Lorinbas had the option to say no, or to make a different deal which wouldn't harm him in this way - but he didn't do either of those things, and he didn't explain his situation (how many resources he pulled into weapons).
In contrast, the issue of Lurem canal was solved well, because Grifen told me how much he expended already, and we were able to reach a compromise which satisfied both parties.

I was actually against the whole plot, ask Bradley. I refused to let him do his kingdom idea until I heard Grifenknight was in on it. I knew that based on past actions, Grifenknight would not be content sharing power with anyone so if I gave him Aberisk and he joins the monarchists, he would poison their movement and destroy them. As for Gollvieg and why he created the theatrics, well, I'll explain in the final post.

Can everyone not assume I am a Monarchist when I am the Ultimate Super Anti-monarchists both in game and backstory

I am probably going to make a fool of myself because you are way better at this than me, at a long shot, but I have to defend myself here:

The only thing I presumed was that, as I showed good faith to Grifen and helped him kick start his industry, that the same good faith would be shown to me regarding the advancements made on his side of the weapon industry.

What option to say no did I have? The only people that I could have sold to would have been Versberg( Who did not give shit about anything going on in Echain proper)and Plainsdale (Where there was the issue of Socialism vs Monarchism).
Hell, during the negotiations you guys already talked about shipping in iron from outside Echain to basically kill my economy if my demands would not be in your will. Where did I have options without starting basically economic warfare? A battle that I had no chance of winning.

The fact that I did not talk about the cost is correct, in retrospect it was dumb of me not to mention the fact that this was basically 80% of work invested in the CCAF. In that regard hindsight is 20/20.

The sad undeniable fact was that the Kingdom movement was never going to get traction. It was never going to be Central/Southport/Aberisk and maybe Lurem vs Eastport. It was going to be Central and Southport alone with Grifenknight the known backstabber.

Preferably you would quickly capitulate when you realize that nearly the entire country did not want a monarchy, especially since in every speech, newspaper, radio post I ever done, highlights the absolute failure that was the monarchy and how that power structure ruined Echain.

I mean it was not an absolute monarchy I proposed, that changed completely. It was nothing more than a Constitutional Monarchy with little to no power.

No Kings or Gods among men. Gollvieg did not tried to buy the palace to destroy it for no reason. Just so you understand the scope of how anti-monarchy Gollvieg is, he was the one who personally killed every single drop of the Royal Family Blood, he also killed Zeiss just to be sure. The only one he could not kill was Lorinbas, who barely had any and Alex who was just a child at the time and Gollvieg does not kill kids.

Just to say this clear, if my character would have learned about this, friends with Gollvieg or not, he would have killed Gollvieg, mutilated his corpes, hung him up at the Royal Palace and would have gone full Huntsman to try to hunt done any associates Gollvieg had during the war and done the same with them. Just to put it out there. Smile

And I didn't mean to put you in this corner. By they time you were admitted into the compact, the majority of the nation was involved, which I didn't expect. Had the compact continue to be what it was originally, I would only have had a monopoly over Eastport and Waltens, but as I stated, it expanded. When we went to negotiate, you just let it slide and I was willing to let it go, had you resisted, but you didn't, so I thought it was okay. I unintentionally harmed you and I'm sorry. Sad

To Gollvieg, it's funny that I'm a back stabber because I unintentially screwed over Lorinbas( I'm sorry) and I was working against a violent uprising that wanted to take the nation and replace a monarchy that nobody wanted... But at the same exact time, I was assisting the nation we actually established and I continued to assist Felix, even when we were in the bad position.

Your accusations of my backhanded dealings concerning Fishleep is hypocritical and null because you literally did the same, but with the whole nation. Very Happy
I don't know how that is even comparable. I attempted to take back an island that no one was using and you lit the match for a civil war...

I will explain in the final post, but unlike Grifenknight, Gollvieg had zero delusions that he was a big fish, there was no chance someone like him would be able to save and unite all of Echain. No, everything I have ever done is to set up the shot so that someone else can rise up from the ashes and be the true Big Fish, which I have zero interest in playing.

You accuse me of trying to take land but that, is a simple case of projection.

I have a plan for that. Since the very beginning of the "Emergency Council Session" I prepared a large pot of boiling water that have been infusing the air of the Council Chambers. I had initially was going to use the threat of poisoning everyone with vaporized Ricin in order to shut down any attempts at war over secession but since it's already there, why not make the fake Ricin real instead?

Also I was also planning to blow the whole floor up with a briefcase bomb if Ceca Sanders said yes to me killing his character.

Will you ever do another thing like that Napoleonic War thing you mentioned?. It would probably garner a lot more players than this one and I imagine most of the things would be able to happen without the GM.

As for this story I am gonna guess that America was going to try and forcefully make Echain into some kind of protectorate like the Philippines.

Wait... so it's really over then? Just like that? Booo!

As for the civil war, the truth is that Waltens would have probably ended up supporting the monarchists. My character became pretty fed up with both Felix and Gollveig over this whole ordeal to the point that even monarchy looked like a good alternative. And besides, Governor Sanders only loyality laid with his own interrests, and was nothing but not an opportunist.
