Knowing Arch's age range (mid 70's) its understandable that he wouldn't have a good grasp on "that damn hippity hoppity". So my goal here is to help broaden the old man's horizons and show him the wonders of modern day hiphop.

Here are some of my recommendations from differing artists feel free to post your own.

Something up beat and hopeful.

Something a little more dark.

Love...err...lust its hard to explain.

Something with deeper meaning.

Fun songs.

Honorable mentions.

Amazing instrumentals.

Star Wars references.

Gangsta Shite. Doubt you would like this.

See, the first 1:30 seconds could be classified as rap, but the rest is just singing while rhyming. They flat out stop trying with the instrumental past that point. The Star Wars Gangsta Rap is more true to the genre. I would even say that that's a prime example of west coast gangsta rap.

Even as someone who doesn't ordinarily enjoy rap, there are some pretty sweet tunes there SterlingZ. Thanks!

Need some old school too TheSterlingZ.

And just for fun Dynamite Hack's cover of Eazy-E's Boyz in the Hood. Seeing the yuppies act out the hardcore gangster lyrics always cracks me up.
