1 The End of A World on Mon Aug 24, 2015 6:41 am

This is a brief poem inspired by the end of Sims Online AKA EA-Land (Look it up if you haven't seen it)

All of us hand in hand,
Some of our heads in the sand,
I look far off into the deep,
And think now only of the eternal sleep,
When our chunk fails will we fall,
Or does life go on beyond these walls,
For these question answers I have none,
But when our world begins to fade I know I will have one.

For reference EA-Land's shutdown was the first time the death of an entire world was recorded it has now been archived by the video game preservation society.

Edit: Including a link to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IT5lLTWx0L4

.. Hah.. quite topical, all things considered. As nothing more than a base consumer of poetry, I don't find it lacking, and current circumstances happen to tug at the heart while reading it. Very good, Ilyria.
