I just heard about a new ME andromeda cinemativ trailer... anyone had seen that?

And I am better now.
You could say that I am feeling good again.

Regards

View user profile
So Cora Harper, coincidence or is Cerberus semi confirmed?

View user profile
Coincidence. Biowaste is trying to distance Andromeda as far away from the original trilogy as possible. Can't exactly happen if Cerberus shows up to fail at everything as per their M.O.

View user profile
I could see Cerberus being the good guys in Andromeda, or at least be like they were in ME2.
...but I don't trust Bioware.

I rather noticed the their symbol on their chest really looks a lot like the N7 symbol.

But oh dear, I have a bad feeling about this.

I have to agree with this comment of the youtube comment section:
"I can't wait to get shouted down for saying this trailer has some of the most cliche and uninspired writing I've seen in a long time. Not to mention the hyper generic villain voice.
The "Full stop." and then stopping really close to a giant enemy
"If they want a fight, we'll give them one."
"I don't need an army, I have an X."
"We're changing the rules."
Please, PLEASE say that this isn't representative of the finished game"

And no, I do NOT care if there is a black dude, a short haired girl or whatever. I couldn't care less.

But I have a really bad feeling for this... I really feel like I am watching someone beat a dead horse.

"Generic" is our watch-word for the second 'cinematic' trailer for ME:A. Everything in it screamed that the game (and the franchise they're trying to build off of it) has no identity of its own.

What they should have done to remedy that is get rid of the stupid gravely voice for 'Arkhon'; get Clancy Brown to voice him. Clancy Brown at least knows to give personality to an immortal bad guy.

I think it is...
It is the last grab of the cash cow... getting the max by doing the min.

They don't have any hope, aspiration or inspiration for this project, they just want to amke money.
A lot of money.

And the worst part: Many people will give it to them.

as addition to Xagmus trailer analysis.

Quite funny. But don't go into the comments, once again a SJW anti rants and so on going on.

Actually I am looking forward seeing arch play it. Like those trash movies?

And to add a final question (which is nonsenical, but still): How can they recruit, if they are already millions of lightyears away? And wouldn't such a project be highly... limited? Like every spot need to be earned?
Which is of course only a 4th wall breaker to the player.

Well this caught me off guard. Heard Lorerunner credited in a Mass Effect video when describing the "TOR Effect" when it comes to dialogue wheels.

Starts around the 14 minute mark.

View user profile
Just now checked the video. Awesome! Hope to see it continue Smile

Good to see an example of how awareness for Lorerunner is slowly gaining traction.

The UESP lore page on Bretons mentions the feudal nature of their culture and kingdoms (plural). It got me thinking that, perhaps Bethesda can do something with that as a response to the popularity around the Game of Thrones TV show (and the greater awareness for the books of ASoIaF), by taking the next adventure to High Rock. "Feudal" as opposed to "imperial"; one is characterized by a flux of power created by a few factors where as the other is the same but better, simply lacking these factors. Reaching the bar for brutality set by the TV/book series by George R.R. Martin: optional. I hope they either listen to the criticisms consumers have leveled at Skyrim and most hopefully Fallout 4, otherwise that they save High Rock for later.

That one mission where you recruit Liara was indeed quite forgettable. I always forget what planet that was, when I can easily think "Feros" or "Noveria" and instantly recall my experiences related to them and my thoughts on their inhabitants and contents of their missions.

From what I remember that mission was supposed to be longer like the others, but it was cut short due to time constraints. Originally there was a mining colony with a hub and npcs and all that good stuff. Parts of it were repurposed for the DLC and ME2.

The original planet was in a ME commercial (the planet under attack that Shepard ignored in favor of hunting Geth). It got re-purposed into Therum due to having to revamp the gun play they originally had and time constraints.

Oh, well that's a shame. Under the thumb of EA, but the thumb's goin' somewhere else if you catch the breeze.

Ominous signs on the horizon for any of you looking to play the Andromeda title:

Many problems, devs: "hurm, that's strange." Not "Oh dang, we gotta fix this!"

View user profile
Like I was saying.... This is not the least bit unepected...

But man, I would so loved to be proven wrong. I would give a fortune for another "Mass Effect" type of game.. you knwo space-rpg with a little bit of action.
Or Space RPG overall... that is one underrepresented category.

We have 'Milky Way' weapons using cartridge-based ammunition instead of thermal clips. Gotta wonder if they start making heavy modifications to their weapons (in order to fire 'laser pellets' or electricity) after stumbling across 'Laser' and 'Helius Cluster' weapons.

A bit sad to see that SMGs and Heavy Pistols were just rolled up into a single category.

Best shotgun is N7 Crusader; it has the range of a sniper rifle without sacrificing firepower.

View user profile
Smudboy asks, "that thing's going to launch grenades? They're as big as the gun itself.

A sniper-scattergun? While I do love the concept, it destroys the playstyle trade-off between the vanguard and the infiltrator concerning different methods of optimizing weapon damage in a fight. Vanguard = skirmisher, infiltrator = sniper/precision. What's next? A scoped rifle with a buckshot alt-fire?

View user profile
The N7 Crusader fires a solid slug. That was the reason given for its beyond 10 feet range.

View user profile
It's an rpg, and shotguns do not have the range of rifles. But I equally don't care for Andromeda anyway, so whatever.

Apparently Mass Effect Andromeda just shifted to full nudity in ESRB, and Aaryn Flynn called it softcore space porn on a twitter question, check link for more.  PC Gamer Link

Also Shadow of Mordor sequel called Shadow of War leaked, with a release date 22 August, really excited for this personally. source here: PCGamer Link

Really!? Shadow of Mordor is getting a sequel. That game should've even exist, has nothing to do with LoTR, and is a complete antithesis to the spirit of Tolkien.

Oh, your game got the full nudity clause? Do keep bragging, I'm so interested now. -_-

I got to play the first game for a free week or so on Steam. It got kinda repetitive. It's fun, but there's a lot of the same stuff. Hope it evolves for the sequel, puts the "quest" back into "side quest". Hook me with story, whatever it is I'm doing. I think I'll just watch one of those "full movie" videos of the original.

Didn't care for the nemesis system. I don't like to die. "you died" and "game over" screens are redundant. I know I've died, I saw it, I don't need to be told. Telling me = taunting, and when my enemies remember and literally taunt me, it's a step in the wrong direction. Whoever dreamed that up can get maced in the ass.
