Could've added some filters to account for space wizards shooting bombs, though

Sincere questions here. Don't mistake my tone.

This couldn't have been a post in the community thread? You had to give this its own thread? Really? Aren't we kinda reaching spam levels with thread creation?

Speaking of which, I saw this the other day and felt it coincided with this topic.
I'm hoping Arche sees this, I'd love to hear his thoughts on it.

I highly doubt that the Death Stars and all of the Superweapons were made to fight against the Vong... I say that by looking at how Star Wars was made: when Lucas was writing the two Star Wars (one that got adapted to a book based on his drafts, and the other that we know as A New Hope), there is no mention of the Vong and I guarantee that he did not, at the time of Ep IV's production, think about sequels because the movie could have flopped. That means that Episode IV had to be (overall) a movie to stand on its own without sequels or prequels.

Taking the novels, video games and comic books nowadays and try to tie them up together as this "Just as planned!" masterpiece of writing doesn't change the original intentions and ideas behind Star Wars, IMO. Speaking of the EU, it's pretty damn clear that the Superweapons were all created to "Rule through fear", following Tarkin's Doctrine and NOT to prepare the Galaxy for extragalactic invaders.

The original Death Star was built as a means to overpower planetary shields. In the original version of A New Hope, Alderaan's shield can be seen for a tenth of a second which is an impressive feat on its own.

Machines and space wizard magic don't interface. How does one manipulate the Force through technology? I don't think there exist any magical chick-chucks that can do anything beyond detect Force hills and dives, Force residue, and power levels.
